Constructor Detail

PropLayout1

public PropLayout1(org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Composite parent,
                   int style)
Constructs a new instance of the class given the parent Composite, and style flags which are used to set the look/behavior of the control. The Composite creates an outter column control which contains an inner Composite with x number of columns. The number of columns is defined by getNumChildColumns().

The style value is either one of the style constants defined in class SWT which is applicable to instances of this class, or must be built by bitwise OR'ing together (that is, using the int "|" operator) two or more of those SWT style constants. Style bits are also inherited from superclasses.

Parameters:
parent - a Composite control which will be the parent of the new instance (CANNOT be null).
style - the style of control to construct
Method Detail

createContents

protected void createContents(org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Composite parent)
Create the contents in the given composite. Subclasses should override this method in order create the contents of the Composite.

Parameters:
parent - the parent of the column

getNumChildColumns

protected int getNumChildColumns()
Return the number of columns in the child composite's grid layout that makes up the inner set of controls. (Label: Control) would return 2. Override to specify the number of columns in this panel's child composite. Assumes this panel only has controls in a single parent column, if there is a need to have two parent columns of controls use PropLayout2.

Returns:
the number of 'child columns' that are to appear in the main column

PropLayout2

createContents

protected void createContents()
Creates the panel's contents.

DO NOT OVERRIDE

Overrides:
createContents in class PropLayout

initChildComposite

protected org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Composite initChildComposite(org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Composite parent)
Creates the child composite that will contain all defined controls. Can be subclassed, though there should be no need to do so.

getControlId

protected java.lang.String getControlId()
