Prepare a TPF 4.1 Test System to Receive File Transfers

First, you must set up the communication between your workstation and your TPF 4.1 test system.

Before continuing, do the following:
  1. Hook up your communication device.
For example, if you want to activate the Common Link Access to Workstation (CLAW) protocol workstation, enter:
    ZCLAW ACT SDA-address
where address is the 1- to 4-digit hexadecimal symbolic device address (SDA) of the read channel unit on the CLAW workstation you are using.
  2. Use the ZINET ADD command to add an Internet server application entry to the Internet daemon configuration file (IDCF). Enter:
    ZINET ADD S-FTPD PGM-CFTP MODEL-NOWAIT PORT-21 P-TCP
  3. Use the ZINET START command to start the Internet daemon or an Internet server application. If the Internet daemon has not been started on your system, enter:
    ZINET START
Next, use the same command to start the FTP server application. Enter:
    ZINET START S-FTPD
Once you have prepared your test system to receive file transfers, you are ready to
continue.
