The main sections of this guide are structured as tutorials that take you step-by-step through basic and advanced tasks in Essbase Spreadsheet Add-in. This document contains the following information:

This section enables you to customize and automate your use of Essbase by using Lotus 1-2-3 macros and Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) functions. The Spreadsheet Add-in User's Guide for Lotus 1-2-3 is provided in the ibm\db2olap\docs\pdf directory in .pdf format for online viewing and printing in Adobe Acrobat Reader (Release 3.0.1 or higher). The .pdf file is named Ess123w.pdf. You can download Adobe Acrobat Reader from the Essbase CD-ROM or from http://www.adobe.com. On the Essbase CD-ROM, the Acrobat Reader executable file is located in the Adobe directory under the appropriate platform and language-version subdirectories. To install Adobe Acrobat Reader, launch the executable file, follow the prompts, and provide the information requested.
