Granting and revoking table space privileges for users

Use the User page of the table space Privileges notebook to grant and revoke user privileges for a table space. The only privilege available for table spaces is USE.

To grant or revoke the USE privilege for users on an table space:

  1. Open the Privileges notebook for table spaces.
  2. Click the User tab.
  3. List the user names for which you want to grant privileges in the User box:
    1. Click the Add User push button. The Add User window opens.
    2. Type a user name or select the user names that you want to grant USE privilege to.
    3. Click the Apply push button. The users that you selected are added to the User box on the User page.
    4. Click the Cancel push button to close the Add User window.
  4. Select the users you want to work with from the User box.
  5. To grant or revoke the USE privilege for the selected users, click on the Grant All or Revoke All push button. The USE box updates to Yes or No to indicate privilege status.
  6. Click the Apply push button to apply the changes you made in the Privileges window.
  7. Click the Cancel button to return to the Control Center.
