Granting and revoking table space privileges for user groups

Use the Group page of the table space Privileges notebook to grant and revoke the user group privileges for an table space. The only privilege available for table spaces in USE.

To grant or revoke the USE privilege for user groups on an table space:

  1. Open the Privileges notebook for table spaces.
  2. Open the Group page by clicking on the Group tab.
  3. List the user groups for which you want to grant privileges in the Group box:
    1. Click the Add Group push button. The Add Group window opens.
    2. Type a user group name or select the user group names that you want to grant the USE privilege to.
    3. Click the Apply push button. The user groups that you selected are added to the Group box on the Group page.
    4. Click the Cancel push button to close the Add Group window.
  4. Select the user groups you want to work with from the Group box.
  5. To grant or revoke the USE privilege for the selected user groups, click Grant All or Revoke All push button. The USE box updates to Yes or No to indicate privilege status.
  6. Click the Apply push button to apply the changes that you made in the Privileges window.
  7. Click the Cancel push button to return to the Control Center.
