Work Allocation

When a task is created (or a notification being delivered) as a result of the execution of an activity, that task or notification must be routed to a specific user or group of users in order for it to be actioned. This process is called work allocation and a set of allocation rules will be associated with the activity for this purpose. Allocation strategies can be one of three types, functions, rules or allocation targets. Allocation targets are maintained using the Workflow Administration functionality and are described in the next section.
