Saving or discarding your changes
When the Custom Application Window is displayed,
you can work on one profile or on many.
Suppose that you have two application profiles named DocType1 and DocType2.
-
You can select DocType1 and make changes to that profile.
-
You can then select DocType2 and make changes to that profile.
-
If you then select DocType1 again,
the profile window again displays the values for the DocType1 profile,
including the changes that you just made to DocType1.
However, the Custom Application Profile window does not permanently save any changes
until you click OK to close the window. In the example above, the changes
that you made to the application profiles DocType1 and DocType2
are not permanently saved until you click OK to close the window.
-
Clicking OK saves all the changes that you have made
since you opened the Customize Application Profile window.
-
Therefore, when you have made any changes (even just a few),
it is a good idea to click OK to close the window and
save your changes.
If you want to discard your changes, click Cancel to close the Custom Application Profile window.
In the example above, the changes
that you made to the application profiles DocType1 and DocType2
are discarded if you click Cancel.
-
Clicking Cancel discards all the changes that you have made
since you opened the Customize Application Profile window.
-
Clicking the X in the upper right corner of the window
has the same effect as clicking Cancel.
