Selecting server options

Use the Options window to select server options that you want to add to the server. The Options window displays a list of server options that have not been defined to the server. From this list you can specify options that affect how DB2 operates at the remote data source and also facilitate optimization.

These steps are part of the larger task of creating a server. When you complete the steps for selecting server options, return to Creating a server.

Fields and controls

To select server options:

1. Specify the options that you want to add:
   • For each option that you want to add, select the check box next to the option name in the Option table.
   • If you want to change a setting, click on the value in the Setting column to display a list. Select the appropriate setting from the list and press Enter.
2. If you want to add a new server option not displayed in the Options window, click New, to add a new server option with the New Server Options window.
3. Click OK to confirm the selection of the server options for the data source that you want to connect to.
