Creating notification messages

Use the Notification page of the Schedule notebook to create one or more notification messages for a process or for a step in the process.

For a process, after an agent informs the server that the process is complete, the server replaces any tokens and sends a notification in the selected form to the users that are specified in the Users text field, from the user that is specified in the Sender field.

For a step, after an agent informs the server that the step is complete, the server replaces any tokens and sends a notification in the selected form to the users that are specified in the Users text field, from the user that is specified in the Sender field.

  Authorities and privileges

To create notification messages:

  1. Open the Notification page of the Schedule notebook.

The Notification list contains all notifications that are associated with the selected process or step.

  1. Use the controls in the Notification group box to create the notification messages, as follows:

  2. Click Add to add the notification to the Notification list. If you change any of the controls in the Notification group box and click OK instead of Add, you will receive an information message indicating that you did not add any notifications and asking you if you want to continue.

  1. Optional: To change a notification, highlight it in the Notification list. The controls in the Notification group box to reflect the content of the selected notification. Make the appropriate changes and click Change. The selected notification message in the Notification list is updated.

  2. Optional: To remove a notification from the Notification list, highlight it and click Remove. The selected notification message is removed.

  3. Click OK to create the specified notification messages.
