Use the Create User Mappings window to create a
mapping between a user's authorization at a DB2 database and the
user's authorization at a data source.
Mapping these authorizations to one another is one of a
series of actions that you perform to work with data in a federated
database system.

To create user mappings:
- Open the Create User Mappings window.
- Populate the Selected user IDs box with user IDs that you want
to create user mappings for. You can:
- Move user IDs from the Available local user IDs box with the
> or >> push buttons.
- Click Add to open the Add User ID window so that you can add any user IDs that are not in the Available user
IDs box.
- In the User ID for data source field,
type the user ID that resides at the data source.
- In the Password for data source field,
type the password used with the data source user ID.
- In the Confirm password field, type the
password for the data source again to confirm the first entry.
- DB2 for OS/390 only and optional: In the DRDA accounting string field, type the name of the
DRDA accounting string.
- Click OK to create the user mappings. The user mapping
objects appear in the Control Center.
