Adding a user ID

Use the Add User ID window to add an additional user ID to the Selected user IDs box of the Create User Mappings window. DB2 populates the Available local user IDs box in the Create User Mappings window by querying the system catalog. Some user IDs are not listed in the system catalog. For example, user IDs that belong to certain user groups. You can use this window to add manually to the Selected user IDs box.

These steps are part of the larger task of creating user mappings. When you complete the steps for adding a user ID, return to creating user mappings.

Fields and controls

To add a user ID:

1. In the User ID field, type the local user ID that you want to create a mapping for.

2. Click Apply.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to add additional user IDs.

4. Click Cancel to close the window.
