Selecting server options

Use the Create Server Options window to select server options for a data source that you want to connect to. You can specify options that affect how DB2 operates at the data source and that facilitate optimization.

These steps are part of the larger task of creating a server. When you complete the steps for selecting a server option, return to Creating a Server.

To select server options

1. Specify the options that you want to add:

   • For each option that you want to add, select the check box next to the option name in the Server options box.

   • If you want to change a value, click on the value to display a list. Select the appropriate value from the list and press Enter.

2. If you want to add a new server option not displayed in the Create Server Options window, click Add New, to add a new server option with the Add New Server Options window.

3. Click OK to confirm the selection of the server option for the data source that you want to connect to.
