Adding a new server option

Use the Add New Server Option window to add a new server option to a list of server options in either the Create Server Options window or the Add Server Options window. New server options are provided by IBM to help meet your data access needs.

These steps are part of the larger task of selecting server options used to connect to a new data source or adding server options for a data source already defined to DB2. When you complete the steps for adding a new server option, return to either Selecting server options or Adding server options.

Fields and controls

To add a new server option:

1. In the Option name field, type the name of the server option that you want to add. For example, my_server_option.

2. In the Value field, type the value for the new server option and press Enter.

3. Click OK to add a new server option. The new server option will appear in either the Create Server Options window or Add Server Options window.

   Note:

   To change the value of an option created using the Add New window, type directly over the value in the Value column of the Create Server Options or Add Server Options window.
