Installation instructions

This document describes how to install IBM WebSphere Application Server - Express 5.0.1 PTF. This PTF is installed in 2 parts:

1. WebSphere Application Server - Express 5.0.1 Runtime Update
2. WebSphere Application Server - Express 5.0.1 Tools Update

WebSphere Application Server - Express 5.0.1 Runtime Update

Download: Express501PTFWin32.zip or Express501PTFLinux.tar.gz

Installation Instructions

1. Download the zip or tar.gz.
2. Extract the zip or tar.gz to a new directory.
3. Navigate to that directory and run setupwin32.exe (Win32) or setupLinux (Linux).
4. The PTF install will find the directory where WebSphere Application Server - Express 5.0 is installed and make all the applicable changes (see install.htm in the extracted 'readme' directory for more info).

Download: wasexpress_501.zip or install directly from the IBM Update Manager site.

Installation Instructions (for the downloaded zip)

1. Download the zip and extract to a new directory.
2. Navigate to the express501/update directory and follow the instructions in install.html.
