There are Ant targets for installing and un-installing applications on a WebSphere Application Server for z/OS server. As with the startserver and stopserver targets, the installapp and uninstallapp targets require that the AppServer.properties file is configured correctly (see WebSphere Application Server Configuration). The targets also require a number of options to be specified and these are detailed below.
Ensure the server is started before installing an application. There is no need to restart the server after installation, as the install target will automatically start the application.
