Referral services must be defined in the CPM services registry before they can be added to an outcome plan. A referral is a service which is provided to a client by a third party provider but not paid for by the agency, for example, Physiotherapy sessions.
Referrals allow for notifications to be sent to the client being referred and the provider who will be providing the service. A number of configuration options exist on the service offering which are used to define the information that can be specified when creating the service such as whether the referral service is appropriate for multiple clients and notification templates which can be used to produce the referral notifications sent to the client and the provider.
