Transfer of Resources Assessment

In Long Term Care, an individual must declare information about resources they, their spouse or any individual acting on their behalf have transferred to another individual within a specified period of time prior to application, known as the 'lookback period'. This information is required to determine if the individual transferred the resource specifically in order to qualify for Long Term Care Medical Assistance, in which case they would be ineligible for a period related to the invalid transfer amount. The look-back period is a constant time-frame of 60 months.
