Recommended Programs

In addition to providing the worker with details of community services that meet the client's needs, information is also provided on government programs for which the client may be eligible. From the results of a life event, a worker can screen, apply, or create a referral for a number of government programs that may meet the client's needs. Depending on the answers provided by the client in the question script, the CER rule set will identify programs provided internally by this agency, or externally by other agencies. For the recommended internal programs, the worker has the ability to screen or apply for programs. For more information on screening and the application intake process, see Screening Clients to Determine Potential Eligibility for Programs and Lifecycle of a Client's Application for Benefits: From Creation to Disposition.

When a program is provided by an external agency, the worker may choose to screen for the program (if configured by the agency) or create a referral to the agency on behalf of the client. CCI provides the ability to create a referral to an external agency from the results of a life event using a 2-step wizard process. The wizard is prepopulated with the program details and any available client contact information. The worker may send, edit, or delete an unsent program referral from the list of Referrals. By selecting to send, the referral will be sent to the provider via email.
