Refer to the following information for help with a WebSphere® Portal problem
in which a conflict can occur when scheduler cleanup is activated
on multiple cluster nodes.
Using a scheduled cleanup in cluster mode
If
you are using scheduler cleanup in cluster mode, review
WebSphere Portal technote 1289958,
Scheduler Error Messages
upon Portal Startup. This technote describes how a conflict
can occur if the scheduler cleanup is activated on multiple nodes
of a cluster, and multiple nodes simultaneously attempt to clean up
the same database, and the steps that need to be taken to resolve
the issue.
Note: Using the scheduler cleanup feature is
optional. If you decide to activate the scheduler cleanup in a cluster
mode, activate it on only one node. It does not make sense to have
multiple nodes cleaning up the database and risking conflicts.
