IBM® Web Content Manager Mobile
Content Conversion utility enables users to convert the Web Content Manager rich
text content to equivalent XDIME markup for IBM Mobile Portal Accelerator run
time to render on the mobile devices.
WCM Mobile Content Conversion portlet
The
mobile content conversion portlet is an application that can be used
in a batch mode to process and transform the rich text data. It can
process the content items that are updated since the last conversion
date in a Web Content Manager library.
This content conversion portlet can be used whenever is needed, and
it can be used as many times as required.
Note: The user must have
edit permission to modify the default settings on the portlet such
as mobile element name suffix, by default _m, and
trace level.
Setting up WCM Mobile Content Conversion
- Client requirements
- This portlet supports browsers that handle HTML
- Server requirements
- One or more Web Content Manager libraries.
- Web Content Manager content items contain
rich text elements must have the corresponding HTML elements. For
example, if a content item has a rich text element named Body,
it must have a corresponding HTML element named Body_m.
The suffix _m for the HTML elements can be configured
with the portlets.

- Deployment and installation
- Copy the jtidy-r938.jar from the WCMMobileContentConversion portlet
installed location.
- Copy XHTML2XDIME_xdime1/2.XSLT from the MPATheme installed
location to the location configured in the Web Content Manager content
that requires the rich text content conversion.

- This portlet must to be added to each portal page you want it
to work.
