Customizing the tools region of the XDIME aggregator

Edit a series of JSP files to add, remove, or change the display links used with the XDIME aggregator.

The XDIME aggregator displays links for the Logout icon: logout

, Login

, and Forgot Password icon: forgot

functions in the tools region of the aggregator's wp_default.mylt layout policy.

Note: The Login and Forgot Password links only appear if the user has not been authenticated by WebSphere® Portal. The Logoff link only appears if the user has been authenticated by WebSphere Portal. For WML devices these links appear under the options key.

For most navigation views, edit wp_profile_root/installedApps/node_name/MPATheme.ear/MPATheme.war/themes/xdime/mpatheme/common/Tools.jsp
For the pagination variant of the tree view, edit wp_profile_root/installedApps/node_name/MPATheme.ear/MPATheme.war/themes/xdime/mpatheme/treeview/pagination/Tools.jsp
For the pdaview, edit wp_profile_root/installedApps/node_name/MPATheme.ear/MPATheme.war/themes/xdime/mpatheme/pdaview/Banner.jsp
For the WML variant of the tree view, edit wp_profile_root/installedApps/node_name/MPATheme.ear/MPATheme.war/themes/xdime/mpatheme/treeview/wml/Tools.jsp
For the SmartPhone view, edit wp_profile_root/installedApps/node_name/MPATheme.ear/MPATheme.war/themes/xdime/mpatheme/smartphone/Tools.jsp and wp_profile_root/installedApps/node_name/MPATheme.ear/MPATheme.war/themes/xdime/mpatheme/smartphone.jsp

It is important that you properly update these files to ensure that the changes are reflected in all of the views of the XDIME aggregator.
