Using QMF forms

QMF automatically generates form panels when a table is displayed or a SELECT query is run without specifying a form. The resulting report is based on certain default choices made by QMF about the format of the report. You can see the default form by typing DISPLAY FORM.MAIN (or DISPLAY FORM) after you run a query without specifying a form name on the RUN command.

Each form panel has entry areas to which information is added or changed. In this chapter (beginning with FORM.MAIN), a letter is assigned to each entry area on a panel (such as  C ) and corresponds to the description following the panel. If there is a default value, it is shown in the entry area on the panel. Each entry area is described in terms of its effect on reports. If an entry area affects charts, that description follows.
