Chapter 6. Managing Relational Storage

This chapter provides information to help you:

• Set up a relational database to store OLAP applications and cubes.
• Maintain your OLAP applications.

This chapter applies to both DB2 OLAP Server and DB2 OLAP Starter Kit. If you are using the DB2 OLAP Starter Kit, disregard references to the Application Manager, which is not included in the Starter Kit.

You can perform several tasks to maintain OLAP applications. For example, you can modify a database outline and recalculate a database. The Database Administrator's Guide contains detailed information about maintaining an OLAP application.
