If you install the English version of the Information Catalog Manager on a non-English system, and you want to enter text in a language other than English, you can change the Information Catalog Manager LC_ALL environment variable. When the English version of the Information Catalog Manager is installed, the LC_ALL environment variable is set to EN_US. The LC_ALL environment variable is set in the AUTOEXEC.BAT file in Windows 95 and Windows 98, and in the system environment variables in Windows NT and Windows 2000.
To change the value of the variable for Windows 95 and Windows 98, include the following statement in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file:
SET LC_ALL=language
where language is the value in Table 3 for the language that you want to use.
