Appendix A. Environment structure for Information Catalog Manager components

When you install the Information Catalog Manager Tools component, the Information Catalog Administrator component, or the Information Catalog User component, entries are added or modified for the several Windows NT environment variables and user variables. In Table 1 and Table 2, the drive letter C indicates a local drive.

The environment variable: Is added to, or modified, to include:
PATH C:\SQLLIB\BIN
LOCPATH C:\SQLLIB\LOCALE
DGWPATH C:\SQLLIB\DGWIN
VWSPATH C:\SQLLIB
VWS_FOLDER DB2 Universal Database folder name (for example, IBM DB2)
LIB C:\SQLLIB\LIB
INCLUDE C:\SQLLIB\LIB
MDIS_PROFILE If this variable does not exist, it is added and set as C:\SQLLIB\METADATA\PROFILES. If the variable exists, it is not changed.
VWS_TEMPLATES C:\SQLLIB\TEMPLATES
VWS_LOGGING C:\SQLLIB\LOGGING
LC_ALL If this variable does not exist, it is added and set as ll_cc, where ll is the language code and cc is the country code (see Table 3). If the variable exists, it is not changed.
