Changing explained statements

Use the Change Explained Statement window to change the query number, query tag, or remarks field of explained statements shown in the Explained Statements History window.

To change an explained statement:

  1. Open the Change Explained Statement window.
  2. Change the Query number, Query tag, or Remarks field, and click on OK to apply the changes.
  3. Select the Clear check box to clear the contents of the associated Query tag, or Remarks field.

    Note:The Clear check boxes appear only if several statements are selected from the Explained Statements History window.

Note:
  • If you select a single statement from the Explained Statements History window, its associated information is placed in the fields of the window.
  • If you select several statements from the Explained Statements History window, the entry fields stay blank. If you change the query number or query tag information, the change applies to all selected statements. When you change the remarks information, the change applies to all selected statements, if the statement is dynamic; otherwise, the change applies to all statements in the statement's package, if the statement is static.
  • You cannot use the apostrophe (') in the query tag field.
