Signing on to the Control Center server

Use the DB2 Administration Tools Sign On window to connect to the Control Center server when it is running as an applet. This information is used to authorize your use of the Control Center and establishes which Control Center profiles to use, for example, which tools settings to use.
Note:When you are running the Control Center as an application DB2 Universal Database uses the user ID and password that you used to sign on to your system as the user ID and password to sign on to DB2 Universal Database.

This user ID and password also becomes the default (shown in the Control Center title bar), which is used for all database access.

Authorities and privileges



To sign-on to the Control Center server:

  1. In the User Id field, type the user identifier.
  2. In the Password field, type the password for the user identifier.
  3. Click OK to sign-on to the Control Center server.
