Task Authorities and privileges
To add systems, instances, or databases to the object tree You need SYSADM or SYSCTRL authority.
To create databases in the Control Center You need either SYSADM or SYSCTRL authority.

For information on the authorities needed to create other database objects, such as tables and table spaces, see the Authorities and privileges information for creating the specific object.

To access a specific system, instance, or database Anyone with SYSADM or DBADM authority can grant you with the authority to access a specific system, instance, or database.
To drop or remove an object You need specific authorities based on the type of object. For detailed information about the authority you need, see the Command Reference , the SQL Reference or the Administration Guide .
To filter an object You need SELECT privilege on the system catalogs.
To generate DDL for database objects You need SELECT privilege on the system catalogs.
To sign on to the Control Center You need a valid account on the remote system hosting your Control Center server.
To locate an object or view the result of locating an object You need SELECT privilege on the system catalogs.
To show related objects You need SELECT privilege on the system catalogs.
To monitor nodes that are disabled (status is either down or unknown) The Enable node status reporting check box must be checked on the Node Status page of the Tools Settings notebook.
Note:Actions performed when a node is disabled are subject to the settings on the Suspend Alerts window. For more information about suspending alerts, see Suspending alerts.
