Changing replication parameters

Use the Change Replication Parameters notebook to change the replication parameters for an application version. You can specify that the changes you make apply to a group, or to a set of selected satellites.

If you are creating a new group, when you complete the steps for this task, return to Deploying a new group, and continue with the next step.

Fields and controls

To change replication parameters:

1. Open the Change Replication Parameters notebook.
2. In the Application version field, specify the application version that you want your changes to apply to.

   Note:

   If you open the Change Replication Parameters notebook from the generalized replication subscriptions details view, the Application version field is disabled, and prefilled with the application version of the selected generalized replication subscriptions.

3. Use the controls of the Context box to specify where you want the changes to apply.

   Note:

   If you open the Change Replication Parameters notebook from the satellite details view, any changes you make will apply to the displayed list of satellites. This list cannot be modified.

4. On the Subscription Sets page:
   1. Use the Subscription set field to specify the subscription set that you want to modify.
   2. Select the source-table target-table pair that you want to modify from the Subscription set details box.

      Note:

      If you have selected a group of satellites and they do not use the same WHERE clause, the value of the WHERE clause is blank.

   3. If you want to modify the WHERE clause for the selected table pair, click the Change push button. The Change Subscription Definition window opens.
   4. If the selected table pair does not use the default WHERE clause and you have a list of satellites, you can click the Set to Group Default push button to set the satellites back to using the WHERE clause that is the group default.
5. On the Replication Control Server page
   1. Use the Replication control server field if you want to specify a different replication control server for the group, or for the selected satellites.

      Note:

      This field is blank if you have selected a group of satellites and they do not all use the same replication control server.

   2. Click the Set to Group Default push button if you want the group-default replication control server to be used for the selected satellites.

      Note:

      This push button is only available if you have a list of selected satellites.

6. Click OK.
