Change Replication Parameters -- Fields and controls

Use the Change Replication Parameters notebook to change the WHERE clause and replication control server of a replication parameter. You can also use this notebook to specify whether the changes that you make apply to the group, or to a subset of its satellites.

Use this drop-down list to specify the application version to which you want to apply the changes.

Context

Use the controls in this box to specify whether or not you want the changes you make to a replication parameter to apply to the group, or to one or more satellites in the group:

• Select the Group radio button to cause the changes you make to replication parameters to apply to the group default.

  Select the Reset individual satellite settings check box if you want all the satellites of the group to use the group-level replication parameters.

  Notes:

  1. This check box is only available if the Group radio button is selected.

  2. This action will remove all customized parameters for all satellites in the group.
• Select the Selected satellites radio button if you want the changes that you make to replication parameters apply to a subset of the satellites in the group.

  Specify the satellites that you want in the Satellites field. You must use the ... push button to open the Select Satellites window, which you can use to build a list of satellites.

  Note:

  These controls are only available if the Selected satellites radio button is selected.

Subscription set

Use this drop-down list to specify the subscription set that contains the replication parameters that you want to modify.

Subscription set details

This box displays the replication parameters in the subscription set. The columns are as follows:

Source table

Specifies the source table.

Target table

Specifies the target table.

View

Specifies whether the source table is a view. The values are:

No

The registered source is a base table.

Yes

The registered source is a view table.

Direction

Specifies the direction of data replication for the subscription. The values are:

First

The target table on the satellite is the user table or parent replica. This value does not apply to read-only subscriptions.

Second

The source table is the user table, parent replica, or another source. This value also applies to read-only subscriptions.

Group default

Specifies whether the replication parameter is the group default. The values are

Yes

The replication parameter is the default for the group.

No

The replication parameter is not the default for the group.

WHERE clause

Specifies the WHERE clause of the table pair.

Change

Use this push button to open the Change Subscription Definition window, in which you can change the WHERE clause for the selected table pair.

Set to Group Default

Use this push button to use the group default WHERE clause for the selected satellites.

Replication control server

Use this field to specify a different replication control server for the group or the selected satellites. You can use the ... push button to display a list of database targets that are available from the Satellite Administration Center.

Set to group default

Use this push button to specify that you want to use the replication control server displayed in the Replication control server field as the default for the selected satellites.
