Use the Tool Settings notebook to define the conditions that will cause the
Alert Center to appear.
To specify when the Alert Center appears:
- Open the Tool Settings notebook. This notebook can be opened
by:
- Selecting View --> Tools Settings from either the Control
Center or from the Alert Center.
- Clicking on the Tool Settings icon from the toolbar.
The Tools Settings notebook opens.
- Use the Alert Center page of the Tools Settings notebook to
indicate the conditions under which you want the Alert Center to open:
- Never
- On new warnings and alarms (default)
- On new alarms only

 Nodes that are down or in an unknown state are reported in the Alert Center
as alarms.
