Use the Warehouse Source notebook to add a LAN file definition that you want to include in the warehouse source. You can also list existing LAN file definitions and modify or remove a file definition.
To import files into a warehouse source:
Optional: On the Files page, specify pre-and post- access commands for a local flat file warehouse source or the information needed to access a remote flat file warehouse source.
Right-click in the blank area on the Files page and select Define. The Define Warehouse Source File notebook opens.
Optional: To view a sample of the data that exists in a file that you already defined to this warehouse source, right-click the file in the Files list and select Sample contents. The first 200 rows of the file are displayed.
Optional: To remove an existing file definition, right-click a file from the Files list and select Remove.
Go to the Security page if you are defining a warehouse source, or click OK to save your changes and close the Warehouse Source notebook.
