Displaying location status

Use the Display Locations window to show the current status of remote locations. The output that is displayed in the text area is dynamic. The actual status might change while you are viewing the output.

Authorities and privileges

To display location status:

  1. Open the Display Locations window.

  2. Click Refresh to show the most recent location status.

Related information

The display includes:

  1. The location identifier, which can be a location name, or its IP address.

  2. The product identifier (PRDID), displayed in the form nnnvvrrm, where:

    nnn
    The database product
    vv
    The product version
    rr
    The product release
    m
    The product modification level

  3. The link name, which is the remote location's LU name or IP address in the dotted decimal format.

  4. The number of requesters. This is the number of active threads from the local subsystem that are accessing the remote system.

  5. The number of servers. This is the number of threads from the remote system that are accessing the local subsystem.

  6. The number of conversations. This is the total number of conversations or sockets related to the partner system.
