Using Your Java-based Tools for Administration

DB2 includes a set of Java interfaces that allow you to extend the capabilities of the Control Center. The Java interfaces allow you to:

• Add additional items to the menu list when working with objects.
• Add buttons to the Control Center toolbar.

To use this capability, you must have the right level of Java software installed. See the Appendix R, Extending the Control Center for more information on using this function.
