Configuring Host Communications Using the Command Line Processor

This section describes how to configure a DB2 Connect workstation to communicate with a host or AS/400 database server.

Figure hint not displayed.

If you plan to use an OS/2 or Windows 32-bit client to communicate with a server, the Client Configuration Assistant (CCA) makes it easy to automate configuration and administration tasks. If you have installed the CCA, it is recommended that you use this tool to configure your DB2 Connect workstation for communications.

Refer to your DB2 Connect Quick Beginnings manual for more information.

For instructions on entering DB2 commands, see Entering Commands Using the Command Center or Entering Commands Using the Command Line Processor.

Figure car not displayed.

If you need to manually configure communications, go to the section that describes your communication protocol.
