Granting all schema privileges at one time

If the group doesn't have any privileges on a schema, and you want to grant the group all privileges on the schema at the same time:

1. List the schema:

   1. Click on Add schema. The Add Schema window opens.

   2. Select the schemas on which you want to grant privileges.

   3. Click on Apply. The selected schemas are listed in the Schema column. In addition, Xs appear in the privileges columns and the Privileges boxes specify No. The Xs and Nos mean that the group doesn't have any privileges on the selected schemas.

   4. Repeat steps b and c to add additional schemas.

   5. Click on Cancel in the Add Schema window. The window closes.

2. In the Schema box, select one or more of the schemas that you listed.

3. Click on Grant all. The Select Grant Option window opens.

4. Select a radio button to indicate whether you want to include the Grant option--the right to grant a privilege to other users and groups--with the privileges.

   With Grant option

   Provides the Grant option with each privilege.

   No Grant option

   Withholds the Grant option from each privilege

5. Click on OK in the Grant All window. If you selected With Grant option:

   • In the privileges columns, the Xs to the right of the selected schemas are replaced by double check marks framed by corner brackets. These new symbols mean that the grant of the privileges and Grant option is pending.

   • The Privileges boxes specifyGrant.

   If you selected No Grant option:

   • In the privileges columns, the Xs to the right of the selected schemas are replaced by single check marks framed by corner brackets. These new symbols mean that the grant of the privileges is pending.

   • The Privileges boxes specifyYes.

6. Click on Apply. As a sign that the privileges have been granted, the corner brackets disappear, leaving the single or double check marks unframed.
