Viewing performance monitor summary information

Use the Summary page of the Show Monitor notebook to view summaries of the information collected by a performance monitor. A Summary page differs from a Details page in that:

" " A Details page displays performance variable values at a specific point in time for a selected object (for example, the SAMPLE database).
" " A Summary page provides information for all objects at the specified level. For example, at the database level, the Summary page would display information for the SAMPLE database and all other databases that are active.

To view performance monitor summary information:

  1. Select a performance monitor from the list below the Monitor name field.

  2. Open the Summary page.

The object being monitored determines the text on the Summary page tab. For example, if the monitor was opened at the database level then the tab will be Databases. The possible levels are:

    " " Nodes
    " " Database Partitions
    " " Databases
    " " Table Partitions
    " " Tables
    " " Tablespace Partitions
    " " Tablespaces
    " " Connection Partitions
    " " Connections

Note: For partitioned database environments only. In a partitioned environment, only partitions where the monitor is currently running are displayed.
