Changing the enforcement policy

Use the Change window of the License Center notebook to change the enforcement policy on an installed DB2 product. There are two types of enforcement polices, hard stop and soft stop. A hard-stop policy stops the use of the product by unlicensed users when licensing infractions have been exceeded. A soft-stop policy logs license infractions, but does not limit product use.

To change the enforcement policy:

1. Open the Change window of the License Center notebook.

2. In the System Name field select the system for which you want change the enforcement policy.

3. In the Installed Products field select the installed product for which you want to change the enforcement policy.

4. In the Enforcement policy pane select:

• hard stop to select a hard-stop policy

• soft stop to select a soft-stop policy
