Changing options for nicknames

Use the Nickname Options window to change the default nickname values of your data source tables and views. When DB2 populates the Create Nicknames window, it defaults to using your user ID in the Schema column and using the data source table or view name in the Nicknames column. You change the default values for allitems in the Create Nicknames window using the Nickname Options window, not just the items whose check boxes were selected.

These steps are part of the larger task of creating nicknames. When you complete the steps for changing nickname options, return to creating nicknames.
