Removing a replication source

Use the Remove Confirmation window to specify that the source table is no longer available as a replication source and that its control information is deleted.

Attention: When the replication source is removed, any dependent replication subscriptions are no longer valid.

To remove a replication source:

1. Open the Remove Confirmation window.

2. Select Yes to confirm that the replication source is removed. The Run Now or Save SQL window opens. You can choose to run your SQL request now or run it later.

3. Refresh and verify your object.

   After verifying your object, remember to start or reinitialize the Capture program from your command line processor so that it will recognize the new changes to the replication source definition. See the Replication Guide and Reference for more information.
