To recover a table space or index:
Troubleshooting Tips
Each table space is unavailable for most other applications until recovery is complete. If you make image copies by table space, you can recover the entire table space, or a data set or partition from the table space. If you make image copies separately by partition or data set, you must recover the partitions or data sets by separate RECOVER operations.
If a table space or data set is in the copy pending status, recovering it might not be possible.
Point-in-time recovery can cause table spaces to be placed in check pending status if they have table check constraints or referential constraints defined on them. When recovering tables involved in a referential constraint, you should recover all the table spaces involved in a constraint.
