Adding or changing space information for recovery

Use the Add Object window to add additional objects to a table for processing recovery operations.

To add or change an object:

  1. For versions of DB2 for OS/390 later than Version 5, select the Table space or Index radio button to choose the object to add or change. For DB2 for OS/390 Version 5, you can add or change only table space objects.

  2. If you are adding or changing a table space:

    1. Type a valid database name in the Database name field, or make the appropriate name changes if the field is already complete. You can also use the push button and search for a name based on specified criteria.

    2. Type a valid table space name in the Table space name field, or make the appropriate name changes if the field is already complete. You can also use the push button and search for a name based on specified criteria.

  3. For versions of DB2 for OS/390 later than Version 5, if you are adding or changing an index:

    1. Type a valid index owner name in the Index owner field, or make the appropriate name changes if the field is already complete. You can also use the push button and search for a name based on specified criteria.

    2. Type a valid index name in the Index name field, or make the appropriate name changes if the field is already complete. You can also use the push button and search for a name based on specified criteria.

  4. Optional: Select the check box and type a valid integer for the partition identifier or data set number.

  5. Click the OK push button to commit your additions or changes to the table space or index list.
