Changing privileges for an existing user ID

Use the Privileges window to change privileges for a selected object for an existing user ID.

Authorities and privileges

To change privileges:

1. Open the Privileges window of the object for which you want to change a user's privileges.
2. Select the user ID whose privileges you want to change.
3. Change the privileges. There are various ways to change privileges:
   • To grant all privileges but not the authority to grant privileges to other users, click Allow.
   • To grant all privileges and authority to grant privileges to other users, click Grant.
   • To change user ID privileges on a specified columns in a table, click Enable column privileges, and select the columns you want from the table.
   • To revoke privileges the user ID has, select the appropriate cells, then click Revoke.
4. Click OK to save the changes and close the window.
