Enter the name of the system you want to access. This name can contain from 1 to 21 characters, in any combination.
Refresh
Select Refresh to get a list of remote systems. This method of discovering systems is only available when the DISCOVER configuration parameter for the instance is set to search and the DISCOVER_COMM configuration parameter is not blank.
Retrieve
Select a communications protocol and fill in the appropriate parameter information, then select Retrieve to fill in the other system information. This is useful when you know some of the system information but not all of it.

Enter the name of the remote instance you want to add or change. This name:

Protocol parameters
If the chosen protocol requires parameters, enter them in the Protocol parameters area. The fields change according to the protocol selected. Select a protocol from the following list to see the parameters for that protocol:
