About the Application Performance Analyzer Plug-in for Eclipse

The Application Performance Analyzer graphical user interface (GUI) is a Eclipse 4.2 based plug-in that provides an alternative to the Application Performance Analyzer ISPF interface. In addition to new features, it provides a majority of parallel tools and functionality. It is used for submitting new observation requests, and for navigating the Performance Analysis Reports generated from observation requests.

The Application Performance Analyzer plug-in communicates with Application Performance Analyzer for z/OS® through the Application Performance Analyzer Problem Determination Tools Common Component extension on z/OS. This plug-in is available as a standard feature of the Problem Determination Tools Studio product, and included with the Problem Determination Tools Plug-ins combined packages, with a dependency on the Problem Determination Tools common component plug-in.

The Application Performance Analyzer plug-in can display menus and dialogs in English, Japanese or Korean. Input must be in English. The Application Performance Analyzer plug-in will detect the regional and language options of your workstation and launch in the appropriate language.
