Checklist for applying an APAR or PTF

The following checklist describes the steps and associated SMP/E commands to install the APAR or PTF:
  1. Prepare to install the APAR or PTF
  2. Receive the APAR or PTF (SMP/E RECEIVE)
  3. Review the HOLDDATA
  4. Accept previously applied APARs or PTFs (optional) (SMP/E ACCEPT)
  5. Apply APAR or PTF (SMP/E APPLY)
  6. Test APAR or PTF
  7. Accept APAR or PTF (SMP/E ACCEPT)
