Can you please download the tool and extract it on Client LPAR and probable destination VIO Servers. 
After its extracted, execute the tool (lpmwwpns) on Client LPAR and probable destination VIO Servers. 

PLEASE ALWAYS GET THE LATEST COPY FROM:

1. first on client LPAR to get list of target ports 
2. and then on probable destination VIOS to verify if they can host IO for the Client LPAR or not. The tool will analyze and say Yes or No for if the VIO Server can host NPIV adapters for the client LPAR or not.

If you need clarification, please send all screen outputs of running the scirpt on Client LPAR and destination VIOS for analysis.
