For additional information about known problems and limitations in the IBM ServerGuide Scripting Toolkit, Linux Edition, please consult the IBM ServerGuide Scripting Toolkit, Linux Edition User's Guide. * Missing Machine types in Boot Media Profile Wizard When using Linux Toolkit on a system running Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.2 or higher with Python version 2.4.x, the list of machine types may be empty for the System Enablement Packages, Updates, and Boot Media Profile menus. To work around this issue, perform the following actions as root in a shell. 1. Run the following command on the repository: sed -i '/cimv20/d' ${REPOSITORY}/updates/uxsp/ibm_utl_tsep_2.00*.xml where ${REPOSITORY} should be replaced by the path to the directory in which you created the Linux Toolkit repository. By default, the default path is /opt/ibm/sgtk/sgdeploy. * Unselecting 'Pre-install' tasks in a workflow does not remove them from the workflow In a workflow with 'Pre-install' tasks enabled, if any of the 'Pre-install' tasks are unselected and the workflow is saved, the unselected tasks are still part of the workflow. To work around this issue, create a new workflow with only the 'Pre-install' tasks that you want to perform selected. * A 503 error occurs when clicking both the 'Cancel' and 'Save' buttons in a workflow When both the 'Cancel' and 'Save' buttons are clicked in a workflow window, a 503 error may occur. Only click either 'Cancel' or 'Save' in a workflow window, never click both buttons. * Firmware update(s) may fail for Emulex adapters In the preboot environment, firmware updates for Emulex may fail. The affected adapters are: -Emulex Virtual Fabric Adapter (CFFh) for IBM BladeCenter(49Y4235) -Emulex 10GbE Custom Adapter for IBM System x(49Y4200) -Emulex 10GbE Server Adapter for IBM System x(49Y4250) To work around this problem, use IBM ToolsCenter Bootable Media Creator from IBM.com to create a new bootable image with the firmware packages to perform the update. 4.0 Information resources You can find additional information about IBM ServerGuide Scripting Toolkit, Linux Edition Installer in the product documentation and on the World Wide Web. 4.1 Documentation The following documentation resource provides additional information about ServerGuide Scripting Toolkit, Linux Edition.
