ANR9999D afmigr.c(2911): Error deleting volume XXXXXX, 0 bytes moved by reclamation. . During reuse of the volume after this message occurs, the customer may experience the following error messages relating to inserting rows into the database that reference the same volume ID that had the error during reclamation: . ANR0102E asalloc.c(4699): Error 1 inserting row in table "AS.Segments" ANR0986I Process XXXX for SPACE RECLAMATION running in the BACKGROUND processed XXXX items for a total of XXXX bytes with a completion state of FAILURE at XX:XX:XX ANR1092W Space reclamation terminated for volume XXXXXX - internal server error detected. . This second error may or may not occur during the initial reclamation processes. . These errors are due to orphaned entries in the database that still point to volume ID's that exist in TSM inventory. . Root cause of the problem is not yet known and as a result, symptoms may vary from those listed above. . Related APAR IC32423 was opened to request a utility to be written to clean up the orphaned entries. This apar will address the root cause and prevent further orphaned entries in the TSM database. <@> IC32423 AN AUDIT VOLUME FIX=YES NOR A DELETE VOLUME REMOVE ENTRIES FOR A VOLUME IN THE AS.SEGMENTS TABLE. After receiving error message 'ANR9999D afmigr.c(2911): Error deleting volume T00153, 0 bytes moved by reclamation', neither a n AUDIT VOLUME FIX=YES command, nor a DELETE VOLUME (with or without the discarddata=yes parameter) will remove all volume references to that volume in the As.Segments table. An audit volume process will change volume status to 'empty' and allow it to be used again, but the orphaned entries the As.Segments table will still exist. A delete volume process will return the volume back to scratch, but the orphaned entries in the As.Segments table will still exist. . Subsequently, when a volume is written to again, you will see error message 'ANR0102E asalloc.c(4699): Error 1 inserting row in table "As.Segments". That error message indicates that the orphaned entries in the As.Segments table already exist when we try to write to a particular row in that table. You will continue to see that error message until the orphaned entries are cleaned up in the As.Segments table. This apar is requesting a function/utility be made available to efficiently delete the orphaned volume entries. Please see APAR PQ57133 which will addre the source and prevention of the orphaned entries. <@> IC31638 RESTORING WITH THE 4.2.0.0 GUI MAY RESULT IN THE INCORRECT PERMISSIONS BEING RESTORED TO DIRECTORIES Pattern matching on directories fails for a version 4.2 server when accessed by a 4.2 Unicode enabled client. Directories are re-created, but they are not restored by the server. Permissions and other attributes attached to the directory are not restored. . NOTE: This is a sysroute of IC31515 reported against TSM client <@> IC33096 DATE008 ASSERTION - TSM AIX SERVER 4.2.1.11 TSM AIX Server 4.2.1.11 is abending with DATE008 assertion. This problem is specific to 4.2.1.11 servers. <@> fix2972 Server abort after restart Storage Agent with vol. mounted in . <@> IC32784 ODM ENTRIES NOT DELETED BETWEEN TSM AIX SERVER UPDATES FORCING CUS TO REBOOT THE AIX SYSTEM TO SEE SCSI ATTACHED TSM DEVICES A TSM AIX Server update to a higher patch level causes the TSM devices to be "invisible" by AIX queries. The special devices files still exist. <@> IC32856 UNABLE TO DEFINE QUALSTAR TLS412600 LIBRARY TO TSM When attempting to define a Qualstar TLS 412600 library to TSM the following I/O error is received: . ANR8300E I/O error on library QUALSTAR (OP=8401C050, CC=321, KEY=FF, ASC=FF, ASCQ=FF, SENSE=**NONE**, Description=An undetermined error has occurred). Refer to Appendix D in the 'Messages' manual for recommended action. <@> IC33056 TSM 4.2.1 3494 CATEGORIES SCRATCH PRIVATE INSERT When multiple TSM V4.2.1 Servers are using the same partitioned 3494 Tape Library it is possible for a volume to get checked into the wrong server. As of 4.2.1 and higher the TSM server will not check what category a volume belongs to during a "checkin libvol xxxxxx search=no" command. Therefore it is possible for a volume belonging to one TSM server to get checked into a different TSM server. The Server will change the volume category to reflect the category assigned to that particular status for that specific TSM server. This issue will only occur when a manual checkin is done and the "search=no" parameter is used. This particular issue was found when a customer setup multiple instances of the TSM Server on the same Unix machine but can also occur when two separate machines are used to access a partitioned 3494 Tape Library. Output from a PVR trace will show TSM recognizing that the volume being checked in has a different category than what has been defined for that server instance, for example;362 TSM changing the tape category to cat=65280 (FF00) (the insert category) then changing the category to the appropriate status for that server, for example; 372 for a scratch tape. <@> IC33074 SESSIONS SHOWN IN CLOSE_WAIT BY NETSTAT, UNABLE TO CANCEL Customer observes that netstat -a shows sessions in CLOSE_WAIT, the number of sessions in this state usually continues to grow, at some point the TSM server will begin having problems opening files due to lack of available file handles. This is often evidenced by the observation of the message: << Message number 8208 not available for language AMENG". Other symptoms include possible server hangs, hung sessions, inability to cancel sessions. The lsof utility may show sessions in RECV_WAIT. <@> pmr38375 Add diagnostic code for migration.
