The device driver FTP site will be sunset around in June 2010.
IBM maintains the latest levels of System Storage tape drive and library device drivers and documentation on the Internet.

This is a portal to enter our download area. There are a few pull down menus to get you to the correct download as follows:
1. In the first pull down menu labeled "Product Group" select "Storage Systems".
2. In the next pull down menu that appears which is labeled "Product Family" select "Tape Systems".
3. With the next pull down menu, "Product Type", select "Tape Device Drivers and Software".
4. This will in turn bring up the "Product" menu.
1). This menu allows you to select the "Tape Device Drivers".
2). Platform: in order to download your driver, select the correct operating system. You can select the generic form of the platform (ie. Linux) and all device drivers for that platform will come up. (after you click continue on this and the next option)
3). The next screen allows you to narrow the search if you need however just clicking "Continue" will allow you to look at what is available.
you can also click the direct links for each platform to download IBM tape drivers and its documents.
